Mortal Kombat is an early video game that debuted in 1992. It is a fantasy-themed fighting game. It takes place in a fictional universe of eighteen realms created by the Elder Gods. The inhabitants of one realm can only conquer another through a series of Mortal Kombat tournaments, in which each realm's greatest warriors battle one another.
Scorpion, also known as Hanzo Hasashi, was one of the original characters. He is "an undead ninja specter seeking revenge for his own death."

Step-by-Step Instructions for Drawing Scorpion from Mortal Kombat
1. Begin by drawing a circle. This will help you to draw Scorpion's head.
2. Enclose a rounded shape beneath the circle. This forms the lower, masked portion of the face. Then, use a curved line to enclose a narrow shape on each side.
3. Enclose an inverted, curved triangle with rounded points beneath the chin. Then, draw a series of curved lines on each side, beginning at the side of the head and culminating at the triangle. This indicates folds of fabric at the neck.
4. Outline the shoulders and torso, extending an "L" shaped curved line from each side of the neck. Enclose a rectangular shape at each shoulder.
5. Draw the arm, erasing as necessary. Use curved lines extended from the rectangle to outline the arm. Band the lower arm with a rectangle and parallel lines.
6. Draw the remaining arm, erasing as necessary. Use overlapping curved lines to draw the arm, bent at the elbow. Use narrow "U" shaped lines to enclose the fingers. Band the arm with parallel lines across the upper arm and at the wrist.
7. Detail Scorpion's torso. Draw curved lines across the top of the torso, then draw pairs of diagonal lines at various angles across the lower torso. Use curved lines to provide muscular detail.
8. Detail Scorpion's head, erasing as necessary. Use wavy lines to draw the sides of the hood, and draw parallel inverted "U" shaped lines across the top of the face. Draw a vertical line at the center of the head.
9. Detail Scorpion's face. Draw a curved line across the middle to indicate the mask. Use two curved lines to construct each eye and thick curved lines for the eyebrows. Enclose narrow ovals to indicate the nostrils and a triangle with rounded corners at the location of the mask. Draw a curved line on each side of the triangle, and three narrow rectangles within it.
